Taekwondo is a rapidly growing sport in Andhra Pradesh.
The association proudly organized the 32nd National Games,
4th Open National, 26th National Senior and
27th National Sub Junior Taekwondo Championships.
APTA also conducted National Referee Seminars,
National Coaching Camps and international-level
training programs with renowned international
coach Mr. Askhari Fari BORZE from Iran.
The Sports Authority of India has continuously
encouraged students through scholarships and
athlete development programs. Summer coaching
camps are regularly conducted across different
districts of Andhra Pradesh.
Around 10 countries including Iran, Iraq,
Malaysia, Singapore, Nepal, Laos,
Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Philippines and Pakistan
participated in the 1st India Open International
Taekwondo Championships held in Visakhapatnam.
Visakhapatnam has a glorious tradition of
organizing national and international events
in a highly professional and successful manner,
making Andhra Pradesh proud in the field
of Taekwondo.
